Zoa and Paly feeding

I know that this has been discussed before.
However, when I looked at the "information draft" There was no topic that was just about feeding.

What do you feed your zoas/palys?
-----Be specific, i.e. (cyclop-eeze, freeze dried)

What technique do you use to feed your zoas/palys?
-----i.e. (I drop the food in the tank or with a syringe, etc.)

How often do you feed your zoas/palys?
----i.e. (3 times per week)

If there is anything else that you have to add to this, please do!

I do not feed my zoas or palys and I am looking for some excuses to do so. I have read that it helps with growth/spreading, but it is not necessary.

Be nice and have fun!

My Palythoas seem to eat anthing I drop in their mouths and they will be back open within 5min for another feeding. My Zoas don't really seem to respond to target feeding to well. Almost like they were closing in fear rather than food. So now I just let them eat 'naturally' out of the water column.

So you spot feed your palys and let your zoas grab what ever they want from the tank, if anything.

With what and how do you spot feed them?

I feed my palys DT's oyster eggs and Golden pearls....I have read that zoanthids might very well eat oyster eggs because of the minute size and they are a natural food but, I have not seen any indication that they actually eat anything....I usually try to feed twice a week.

Right before Christmas I bought a rock full of zoanthids & it had two palythoas on it. I did not feed the palythoas until about a month ago when I saw it close up on a piece of mysis shrimp. From then on I have directed the turkey baster at them & feed them mysis a few times a week.
For the first two months they maintained at two polyps. Since I started feeding them I now have 4 new polyps this month. They also seem to be a bit more colorful.
I have directed food over zoanthids but haven't seen any takers yet.
