i bought some Tropic Marin pro-coral cure at the last frag swap i went to and was told it is a good dip the box says "Iodine preparation to treat parasitic and microbial diseases of corals". i have a mini colony of magicians that haven't been opening for about a week now and was wondering if this dip would help them? As you may know from Mucho's "25 reasons your zoos won't open" thread, there are a number of reasons why they may be closed. TMPCC could help with some of those but not all. So maybe. I'd try it.

Just check for the obvious things. Water quality, lighting, algae growing on them. I personally look at meds/dips as a last resort thing, and I do my best to keep my tank as natural as possible. Then again, most people wouldn't agree with me :)

all of my other zoas look good, lps all good and sps are fine also. they closed up and had some black alge growing on thim after a few days of being closed so i brushed it off and moved them to the frag rack with more flow and more intense lighting and now one seems to want to open. in the past i have done the same thing and had good luck but it takes a while before they would open up and look right again.
