I posted this pic in the zoa section, but really haven't gotten a positive id.

Maybe one of my 'homies' will clue me in.

Is he bad?

Looks pretty close to a berghia. If that's what he is, i'll gladly take him off your hands man. Eats aiptasia exclusively. Frag trade maybe?
(great pic by the way)

That's gotta be a berghia bro. The head looks a bit different in this pic, and the tips are orange instead of blue, but perhaps you have a juvi. You have a pm.

Per the pm......Daniel, yeah, I do have aiptasia in my 'holding tank'.....quite a bit. I guess I'll quit using the Joe's juice.

He's about 3/4-1" long.

I got the shot by turning the lights out. He hides as soon as the lights are on.

He's actually white. I believe my flash gave him the blue and orange flourescent coloring.

That does look like him.

Daniel, thanks for clueing me in on this. That's got to be it. I just found another photo that almost looks identical.

I'll keep my eye out for more of these guys. If I spot another, you'll get it. I'm sure I have enough aiptasia to keep one alive.

my tank is overrun with aiptasia, I have no way of controlling it. Cant keep pepperment shrimp alive more than 3 days. Joes juice never worked for me. If i tried to count, I know theres well over 100 aips in my tank. Do they sell these online anywhere?

Joes juice never worked?

Joes juice has to be the most fun thing I've ever used on my tank. Zapping those little buggers, watching them melt away, but the screams, the SCREAMS! they still haunt me.

You might look at your source and your acclimation procedures. Peppermints are very easy to keep. The one thing they are really susceptable to is inadequate sensitization/acclimation to changes in SG.

I'm going to echo Chris on the peppermints. I lost 3 of them before I realized how important a very slow acclimation was. Now, I drip them real slow for a solid 2 hours and I haven't lost one since (we have 6 of them now).

I guess I'm just lucky to keep all three of my Peppermints alive just fine. I just did cup in cup out method every 15min three times and they did just fine. My newer tank was covered with aiptasia, majano, and tulip. I treat with Joe's Juice on the big ones where I can reach. Peppermints took care of the rest, I thought they didn't bother majano??? I have no anemone left....There's only two Peppermints in this tank and they wiped them all out in about a month. :)
