well not only do i have pox. i have spiders :( right now i have only seen them in my iso/treatment tank and not in my display. maybe the eggs only hatched in iso? they are mostly of the green variety but a few orange as well. they just break apart when i was removing them with toothpicks. i have a leopard wrasse and spotted mandarin, do you think these fish eat them or no?
i am treating with furan2 for the pox, is this affective for the spiders as well? i am really at a loss for what to do right now...other than this zoa issue, my tank is doing great :)

The Leopard might however the mandarins mouth is to small. Best way to kill them is just take out the rock if you can and do an iodine dip. 15sec and the spiders dies.
Had them from OceansFloor a while back.

yep, i've been physically removing them, ill have to dip some in iodine now, along with the furan for the pox.

did you make it to the swap?

I had picked up a frag a while back that had some on there, real ugly lookin things but I just picked off the one's I saw by hand and then dipped.

Do they make webs like the land ones do. Because for the last few months Ive noticed that in between rocks there is this film that connects between the gaps of the rocks. I just moved some rocks around and the stringy web lines are back again after I got back from a trip this weekend.

Get the stuff revive from two little fishes it smells like pinesole but everything and anything is off of the coral in seconds.

True Dat!!!

I got two free bottles last year at the Drs. Foster and Smith Convention, didn't open till this year and wasn't sure when I smelled it, so I googled it and sure enough everyone said it smelled like some kind of cleaner.

For zoa spiders use yellow coris wrasses. I have witnessed them tearin' the spiders apart on multiple occasions in the past. They'll also eat zoa nudis and regular planaria.

thanks guys. ill get some revive tmrw. i did some more dipping and inspecting today. idk if a yellow coris would get along with my labouti fairy and leopard wrasse? i could have the coris with them in iso, maybe.

ok so i plan to get an arrow crab tmrw or wednesday. do these spiders like palys too? also, can anyone post some good links about the spiders? thanks!
will the arrow crab eat zoa eating nudis as well?
is the arrow crab just going to be a hit or miss?

also, i've been looking at pics of the spiders and maybe mine are nudis? or i have both? most of the critters im pulling off are of the green variety?

You should be able to tell the dif between the two. Also do not forget the SS like to burrow inside the polyps.
I never had an issue with the palys..Just the zoa.

Melanarus wrasse and Green Coris wrasse destroy them but will take about a month or two to get them all. If you buy a new wrasse it wont eat them right away. The wrasse must get used to its surroundings and feel safe.

bumpidy.....
so they're def. nudis and not spiders....i hope lol.
my collection is ruined form the pox and now these.
question is...what critters (not fish) eat the nudis?
my current wrasses, would not appreciate a newcomer.
i've read leopards and even the spotted mandarins might eat the nudis but this is hit or miss really....maybe mine do, im going to feed less for the next couple days and maybe they'll start grazing more...
all my palys should be ok, right? thanks.
