Zoa growth?

Does anyone know if zoos will grow over the frag plug or only certain types. I have a plug with Radioactive dragon eyes and it grew way over the edge and almost underneath. My orange torches on the other-hand only grew to 4 polyps on the plug (filled it up) and now they stopped growing. wth lol

Some zoas/palys are much more apt to cross gaps, grow on vertical planes, form mats etc. than others. I don't think anyone has compiled a list, but they are definitely different. Also, the conditions in one tank may favor more rapid/aggressive growth in one species over another, and the opposite may occur in a different tank.

I would just use a generous wad of epoxy and form it around the plug so it makes a smooth transition to the rock. Less stress all around.

lol, I guess ive been lucky. All of mine seem to grow really fast. Other corals i have issues with. Ive been battling phosphate issues for months now, and have come to the conclusion that zoas like dirtier water.

the torch oranges were the only ones that are not spreading. its the weirdest thing. heres a picture from a while back so you know what kinda plug they're on

i'll put up another picture tonight. this one is pretty old. there is now about 4 polyps on the plug but they don't spread off the top
