They look like Blow Pop zoanthids to me. Did you originally get these from Rod or somewhere else?

Blowpops have more of a solid blue face. I like the white in these.

I got them from a local reefer and have no idea where he got them from Garen.

I think I was just lucky with these Jeni. I had them in the corner, didn't really pay much attention to them and then whallah, they just started looking very nice. I didn't know that zoas could change color so drastically b/c they didn't look like this before.

Here are Jeff's Bam Bam's. He gave a ton of these away free awhile back and I think they are still my favorites. They grow like weeds!

Corals are the most adaptable, hence changeable, lifeforms on the planet IMO. The adjust to everything we throw at them, light, water parameters, photo period, etc. and what looks like one thing in my tank, may look and color up totally different in yours. Sometimes the details of a frag are lost until we get a picture close up...that's why I always like to gamble on frags....ya never know what your gonna get!!!

The blue ring on the center of them near the skirt isn't on any of mine. If I end up getting rid of my T5's and going back to Reeflux bulbs because of you...I dont know...
BTW, there is now a 20,000K Reeflux.
Edit: i just realized the blue is actually on the skirt itself. Very cool.

I think that's just my crappy camera skills Jeff! Are you seriously thinking about ditching the T5's? I think a mix of T5 and MH would be the best.

how are things with the tank Doug, growth, health, etc? Any recent pics?

Things are doing good. The tank seems to be running pretty well right now, I dont have any swings in any parameters at all, just keeping up with water changes and keeping an eye on things....
Growth is good, could always be better I think, but there are alot of frags in the tank that some would consider to be slow growers, so Im not too concerned about it right now.....
I'll try to get some new pictures in the next week or so, it's just tough with my camera because I think it sucks. :lol:
