What kind of polyps are very colorful, have a fairly large polyps, and could thrive under 440 Watts of VHO lighting.

My girlfriend's got 440w of VHO and I find that all zoanthids that come out of my tank (800w 20k mh and 220 vho actinic) and go into hers shrink to about 1/3 of the diameter and the colors/patterns become somewhat muddy. That said though, they all grow, so you'll probably be able to keep anything. Look for palys if you want larger polyps.

I had my zoo's under 440 VHO's and I noticed the same thing. However this was not until I got my 96w pc's and I saw more color and designs that came out plus good growth.

If you like larger polyps i think palythoas tend to fit the bill more often than not.. these things come in all colors.. just gotta find some you find personally appealing
