I bought a colony of Green zoas about 2 weeks ago. They oppened up right away and everything was looking great. In few days tentacles are no longer out... It's been like this for over a week and does not seem to get any better.

Colony itself is looking good and healty. Is this flow issue?

Thanks in advance.

blurb from Mucho.

When asking for help relative to your polyps, it's best to list all of your parameters including your tank temp and specific gravity and all other possible details of your system and the problems you are having. Doing so will help expedite a quicker response which might mean the difference between life and death of your polyps in some situations.

Sharing what type of lighting, bulbs, ballast , photoperiod and what type of powerheads/wavemakers etc can be an asset in some situations as well.

As much vital information as you can share along with a macro picture or two, will greatly enhance the responses you will receive from those who can help.

Very sorry.
pH 8.3
Amm 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Phos 0
Calc 420

I have 2x 150w sunpod running about 8 hours per day.
46g tank, 20g sump / fuge with 2 koralia 1 pumps, one of which is turned off since I am getting a very good flow from return pump.

Sorry for a terrible picture...

What's your magnesium at? I have mine elevated right now to combat briopsis (it's working spectacularly btw), and my brown/purple colony looks like that. My blues also had the tentacles turn white.

Even though your other zoas are okay does not mean that something isnt wrong with your water. Because if you have had your other zoas for a while they might have slowly adjusted with the small changes in your water chemistry. So they are now adapted to your water. So if the problem is magnesium and your other zoas are 'used' to it then they would look fine, while your new ones dont because they are unhappy and unadpated to it. If that makes any sense. See if you have a LFS or friend that can test that for you.

EDIT: I am not implying that something IS wrong with your water but jsut trying to explain why using other corals is not a good test for water conditions.
