Here is my nice colony. It came from a 250w MH tank, and i've had it about two weeks under 18w of PCs. Little bit of a change, but there appears to be no fading yet. Wish me luck!

Jgoslee, am I reading corectly that you're growing all those out in a BB tank?

Have you had any problems growing any of the different types?

these are all from my 90gal..i don't do much for it i put cyclopeze in the tank i feed the palys mysis..and change 10gal of water every week..i keep all the other thinks like ca,mag and such in line and just sit back and watch them grow..i just started to get into zoas and palys..never likes them but the past year or so i just love them..too bad some of the prices are high but if you look you can find some deals..well here are a few of my favs..the first ones i did not know i had..my lfs had got me the frag as a freebie and it sat in the back with my salt for 3 day until i notcied it checked them out and they seemed fine and within a couple hours they opened right up..so i guess they can be pretty hardy
they do not grow the fastest but are starting to grow a little better now that i moved them up some..the others seem to grow pretty good..i ahve not really kept up with how fast but i do see good growth

These are some older pics of some zoas.I changed computers and cant find my software to install any new pics with my camera.

These are being kept on the bottom of my 110 with great growth.I know I might get some bad feed back on this but I have started adding chromaplex,zooplex and phyto to my tank.I won a Kent pack from a raffle.Im not saying these are helping with any proof other then what I see.

Just an FYI, I'm using T5's overdriven and had to initially put my zoas in the shade because they would morph to a lighter color... after about 1 month or so they are just out in the bottom of the tank. For the true blues they prefer lower light to get a dark blue color.

I dont dose anything or feed them... I guess I just have dirty water

I am using 3 250 watt hallides on mine.When you say true blue I would say your right on the lower light except for the TUBS.They are the only blue I have ever owned that I could set right under the lighting and keep blue without turning grey.

As you have said, from what I've also heard the Tubs Blue turns more blue as the light intensity increases however the skirts turns a lighter brown color. The True Blues are just the opposite They turn more silverish in bright light but stay a dark blue in the shade. The skirts also turn a slight brown in high light.
