Zoanthids pulling away from each other?

I've had some Mohawks for quite awhile now but lately it seems like instead of huddling up together and looking nice & full they seem to be pulling away from each other. They are open, but you can literally see tissue being stretched out between them. Any ideas why this might be happening?

The tank has been set up for almost 6 years now and everything else seems to be doing ok. The only changes I've made recently is that I replaced both my MH bulb and my T5 actincs on January 1st.

Thanks. :)

When I had lots of mowhawks hundreds, they were splitting from each other, they don't huddled together like zoanthids.

Lot's of open spaces between them? "Hundreds" can cover a lot of bases. (blue clove polyps)

Will they ever "huddle up" together, or is it just the nature of the beast?

I've had one too many adult beverages today btw. No disrespect... I'm just trying to get these splinters out of my mind. ;)
