Isn't that a gorilla crab? BAD BAD BAD!!!

zoalogist, I'm glad that wrasse is working out for you, I know it helped robert out big time!!!

I was reading a crab expert (meaning they were a prof whose primary research had to do with crabs) posting in an ID forum before and they said the vast majority of crabs are not reef safe and that, in general, it is safest to get them out when you have a chance. The advice was based on the fact that crabs tend to be opportunistic and even those that don't eat coral can usually get big enough to pose a danger to snails, small fish, etc.

When it comes to crabs I follow one rule. If it isn't clearly an acro crab or I didn't purposely put it in there, I kill or sump it ASAP. They can be so hard to get I don't hesitate. When I was accumulating live rock I got crabs in my tank a couple of times. One crab took me months to finally "remove." Since you've now seen him munching... good luck getting him.

You might try and bait that crab with a piece of food in a jar, Once they get in they can't get out! That is definitly a bad crab that must be removed! Too bad about the skimmer being too tall really would help your water quality!

Are you sure about that usb cable? It only goes in one way into the camera and also the computer. Check the orientation of the cable

The page below is from the manual of your camera and the cable is the same standard pin u have on your camera. Also check for another port. There are usually 2 ports one for the transfer and one for display on TV. Sometimes they both look the same but only one will fit the USB. It is possible that they used Nikons own proprietary format on the port. Hope this helps.

On the USB cable, there are several different variations on the mini USB connector. Some manufacturers change it slightly so you have to use their cable. I have several devices which use the standard mini plug ... then my daughters Nintendo DS device and another peripheral I have use a there own custom cable. You can not tell the difference till you try to plug it in. Is a total pain in the @ss.

They do have variations but on digital cameras they should all be standard. I have a cable from a sony digital camera thats 10 years old and still works on all my new canon cameras and i also use it charge my PS3 controller.

But i could have a gave him the wrong cable, There's mini and micro usb ports.

They are made in different shapes aswell. If yours is a rectangle shaped it wont fit.

I'm sure, The one you gave me has little bumps sticking out on the sides! Mine is kinda like a elongated rectangle if you know what I mean, smooth on the sides no bumps sticking out.
