zoas and a clam?

hello, will any type of zoas sting and kill a clam? i was thinking of putting a clam among my yellow zoas but i dont want it to be stung and killed....

A clam will and can survive surrounded by zoas, but it's generally not a good idea. Especially if they begin to irratate the clam.
Why risk it?

That clam should be fine. You can see that the mantle on your crocea clam will shade any advance areas around the clam, the zoas will grow around it most likely.

Here's a tip on how to make sure the zoas can be easily removed if they get too close.

Get your hands on some underwater (reef safe) epoxy. Mix it and press it down around the clam. If the zoas grow into it, all you have to do is peel or pry the epoxy off the rock, whalah, instant frags. Plus, all you have to do is replace the epoxy after you remove the old stuff and repeat.;)
