Zoas and LED

I'm running a Reefbreeder Value LED w/ 90 degree optics over a 40 column thats 28" high. I am hit and miss with zoas and palys. I have pink zippers and Purple PE that are doing great but I have purple death that hasn't done anything. Same with some zoa's. I have some purple no names and orange center w/red skirt zoas that are taking off while my rasta's and darth mauls have done nada. One thing I have noticed is if I go to high they melt away. Everything is halfway down or more.

PD should be in lower light. I usually put them in the lower half of tank to get the nice deep purple look ( but when I was using 8 T5s. I had them higher on the tank but was fed soft sinking pellets )
