Zoas and STN ??

I know many things can precipitate STN in Acroporas but wondering if too much zoas on the acro base can be a cause ?

my gomezi is STN'ing on me for the last 3 weeks and he is in fact overwhelm by zoas...

any thoughts or experience with this ?

I wonder about the zoas, but I am also in the process of changing salt (DD h20 to reef crystals) but very slowly, mixing the two salts and doing automatic water change of about 1g per day... my alk has gone form 8.5 to 9.3 in this interval, but other acros are ok..

anyone else having this reaction with zoas ?
