Zoas going down hill fast - Fungas? Or what?

220 VHO to 500MH that about the difference of night and day. My guess is that they have been shocked from the light. Are you using 10k or 14k bulbs? I shocked some zoos from moving them from a 50/50 pc tank to a tank (high up) with 150 MH 20k and they looked similar to yours in the way they were deteriorating. Even at such a high K raiting I was able still able to shock them.

I have 14k, the bulbs are about 8 months old. Ill raise the bulbs as high as I can get them and see if this helps.

Here are all the pictures I have of the rock....

Is it a sundial? i cant tell.

Seems like an aweful lot of closed up zoos for one snail, keep us updated on how things progress.

I dipped about 30m ago, and things look much worse. The entire rock has that skin issue.

Ill check in the morn and see how things look, im not optimistic.

that is awesome, dont sweat the irratation after the dip so much. I did about 20 drops of lugols and 5 drops of flatworm exit in about a gallon and a half of ro/di water last night on 7 new frags and things looked horrible right after i did it.
Today every single polyp was open.

If things dont clear up get an exacto knife and get to fraggin off the good ones. That is one pimpin zoo rock!

Mine did the skin thing as well, i blew it off with my turkey baster as soon as i saw it. Try that, relax and see what tomorow brings,

don't do too many dips consecutively with in a short span of time as you will stress them further and just speed up their death sentence....

I did the lugols FW and FURAN2 ...after 3 dips in span of 2 1/2 weeks... death has stopped and now zoos are doing well and reproducing... especially after the erradication of the large ampipods contributing to the demise..

and when you turkey baste the zoo rock try to do it in a sepparate bucket as to not spread what ever you have throughout the tank further increase your issue.

Pictures as of today. Not looking so hot. Yesterday morning the whole rock wasnt *shedding* as I call it.

I dont have any Furan2, can get some tm but tonight can I do a Hydrogen Peroxide dip? Every zoa is sheding, there are no clean ones to frag and save.

my buddy had a similar problem with a much smaller colony.

we set it it the sun on a windowsill for a half hour, 2 days in a row.

it took another 5 days for them to open, but the polyps that had the funky gew re opened and were way brighter than the others.

his gewy stuff was a darker color, but the sunlight seemed to dry it up.

not an expert like these other zoa freaks, but just 2 cents that might help.

They have a green fungus all over them. So they definetly need to be dipped. Alot of them are starting to completely melt away.

Im going to do a dip right now with the Furan2
