i hate to ask but i need to prune back the zoas in my tanks . their talking over some areas. the rocks can't be removed. is there any way to remove some. maybe shooting a calk/ water mixture on some areas? any help will be gratefull.

You could try peeling the mat off the rock. What I do is make a small slice where you want it to be. Then using a razor blade try to work a bit of the mat up so you can get a hold of it. Then gently work it up and off. Any remaining mat should then be hit with the paste. Then you could trade for something else. Unfortunatly some are easier than others.

I dont advocate killing anything. 99% of the time it can be avoided.

i don't see that theres a mat, at least not like my gsp. they appear to be single polyps, one just about touching the next.

I think I shall cry! What a waste to kill. Can you find it in your heart to remove rock and frag then put back. I would pay shipping! Best of luck!!!

i can't remove the rocks, it would distroy the tanks. they have just taken over .if i had known what would happen i never would have bought them. i don't want to kill them, but i need to prune back
