Zoas not growing

how long have you had them for? How many polyps are each frag? (usually 1 polyp frags take longer to grow than larger ones)

Also, what lighting/water chemistry/etc? these will all help as well

I usually have slow very slow growth on my zoanthids, unless they have recently been fragged, then they seem to explode.

You can also try putting a different colored colony next to or on the same rock as another type of zoanthid. In my experience they will try to out grow each other, thus producing new polyps on both colonies.

Very interesting thinking, will have to try this out myself. I grow all my zoas under T5 HO's seem to love the light. I would try and move them maybe to higher light and feed them as suggested. Good Luck
