when i was working 7 days a week and did not have much time to do frequent water change my sps started to look not to great, it started to brown out. now that i work less i have lots of time to do water change so my water quality is very good and now i notice that my sps are coloring up and growing rapidly, but on the other hand my zoas and palys had not grown much. also notice my mushroom and rics are fading away. can someone give me some info on this issue. thanks.

Not sure why that would effect the zoos, but cleaner water allows light to travel further down into the water column, so the shrooms and rics may be getting too much light now. Just 1 theory. ;)

the rics are all shaded under a hangover. i think i found out the answer now. i havent change the water too frequent and the rics are opening up again. maybe zoas and rics like a little bit of nitrate.

It's not uncommon for zoanthids, shrooms, and rics, to shrink up ang grow slowly with less nutrients in the water. In extreme cases some of them will even melt away in extremely low nutrient water.
