Zoo Polyp size

Just curious...I recieved some new frags today and some of the zoo polyps were tiny. Is the size of the polyp dependant on tank flow or conditions? Or are some zoos just small?

I've had some under pc which were about the size of a pea..(skirts and all) and then under my MH lighting grew to about the size of a penny.

I've also noticed baby zoos that pop up will be very tiny but eventually expand - especially on a newer frag .. in time they sure can grow

Alot of your Soloman Island zoas are very small.

I got a frag from a local club member and the zoos were freakishly tiny. I had never seen such small zoos before so I asked and she said they were always like that for her and she has MH. I have some under PC and some under MH from that frag in 2 tanks and they are still tiny. I always try to ask a vendor what the polyp size is before I buy to avoid this.

they come in all different sizes but lighting and flow will be a factor on polyp size...

I went into a lfs this week and they had some unbelievably tiny zoas...about the size of a pencil tip. You would need a magnifying glass to just be able to see them.
