Zoo question

[Volppage]

I'm very new to Zoo's and at the lfs they had some in, so I bought it and the next day I noticed this on it and I'm not sure if it is something I should be concerned about.

I didn't do any dip with my zoo's didn't realize it was something I should do but will definitely in the future. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.

looks like some type of sponge or filtering thing dosent look harmful

Looks like some type of tunicate. It should not harm anything.

look's to me to be a black sponge I have a rock with one and about 100 zoa's on it if that's what it is the zoa's will be ok
