zoo transfer between different species of carpets?

I picked up a semi bleached gig a couple of days ago. It's about 6 in., mouth is tight and still sticky. Light yellow color with a little more green around the mouth. I have a purple haddoni i've had for a few years and was wondering if anyone has ever had success doing a zoo transfer from haddoni to gig.

I figure that I'll give the gig a couple of weeks to settle in before I try to feed and do the transfer. I know its feeding response is good because it was trying to eat a sebae nem at the store and stung the crap outta the lfs employee bagging him up for me. I'll grab some pics tomorrow to document progress

here are a couple of quick pics that I snapped today. the white balance is a little off but I suck at using my slr. I gonna give the gig a week to settle in before I attempt to feed and do the transfer.

Really? I thought pizza anemone's have a very different looking tentacle.

What color is the donor haddoni? Can you tell what color the gig USED to be? If it was blue, and fed blue from a donor, one may think it changed color if the original color isn't known.

definitely a haddoni. its a lavender purple color with gold tips when just the actinics are on. the gig still has some hints of green.
this pic shows the color a little better

I don't see anything other than Haddoni. The tentacles of the Pizza anemone is really different.
Zoos does not impart the coloration of the anemone. Only get him unbleached. Coloration of the anemone is genetic and will not change. Bleached anemone and coral eventually loose color because they don't have the energy to produce those pigments.
