zooanthids & clam shells?

I have a maxima clam that has some zooanthids (spelling???) growing on its shell. Should I remove the zoo's from the shell?

So far I have not noticed any negative effects.

yeah shouldn't be a problem. if you have them grow all around it, it looks like a clam in a flower bed

Here's mine some months ago. I've tried unsuccessfully to get rid of zoos and mushroom polyps. Clam does not seem affected, I just want to get rid of them to prevent them from relocating to the sps corals.
