Zoom Lens???

100mm macro lens for the deeper tank shot. If you need more than that, use a teleconverter. Either that or go w/a 150mm macro lens.

Both the Sigma and the Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lens are awesome lenses, especially for their price. If you don't mind the weight (or the price), the f/2.8 L IS is a stellar performer.

The 70-200mm f/2.8 IS is the next lens on my list along with the 1.4X extender...

0p3n Brain, what is your other lens ??

I have the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM that I use mostly for indoor or close group settings. I have a Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM macro lens that I use obviously for macro photos but also for portraits. Your focus has to be right on but it does amazingly well on portraits with a nicely blured background. I have an older Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 from before the digital days that I use if I need zoom but don't want to carry the 70-200mm and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 that I occasionally use for portrait (wish it was the f/1.4). Last but not least I have the 18-55mm that came with my 20D. It's somewhere in a closet and never used.

The next Lens on my list would be the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM for a great general purpose lens. Hope that helps!
