I got these close-up shots and I was wondering if those dark dots on the coral tissue are zoox. They are only visible on the Stylo and the Vermiculata, they seem to have a more transparent body then the rest of my SPS. I'm just curious.
What we are looking at is exactly where photosynthesis is occurring in the actual polyp. So the the question is, are the polys typically extended during light hours to catch their food or to make their food?
