any one have one of these or anyone have any previous experiance? my brother is looking to pick one up for his 150g tank with 3x 250watt mh located in tampa fl. will it surfice or under powered?

to be honest, i have no idea what central air means, but it seems like he's looking to cut back on the A/C. so the tank will be mainly dependent on the chiller to keep cool

Central Air means he has air conditioning.....basically it all depends on how much you need to bring down the ambient temperature, For example, if your room temperature is 72, and your pumps, and lights and such bring total water temp to 81, you might only need to bring the water down a few degrees, and could go with a more under powered. If room temperature is higher like 80, it would increase the work on the chiller, so you'd need one more powerful.

It's not really a "how big " it's more "how much" with chillers.

ok, i get it. i'm thinking it will surfice. the last time i was over his place, it was nice and cool even tho it's in fl. the avg temp outside is mid 90s, in side i'm going to say upper 70s low 80s. there is another guy in the tampa area that has posted that he had the same chiller for a 125g.
