Finally caught him while he was sleeping in the tank, now in the HOB Fuge. I've had him since the beggining when I first started my 100gal. 1st fish to go in to my tank. Does eat tons of pods/ampipods/ (tiny bristleworms ?). Let me know if your intrested.

Was planning on putting him into my brothers future nano but he won't be getting it for a while.

Hey Andy,

I got an offer for $10 for him from Skorpinok. If he dosn't come through you could get him for the same offer. I rather move him sooner than later as I don't think he liked it when I dumped him on the HOB fuge this morning while he was sleeping...

Nah, he either sleeps in the corner on top of the sand near the heater... or his other favorite spot within a couple of small rocks...
Took 4-5 seconds to catch him, basically just scooped him up with a tiny net and by the time he woke up he was already in the sump.... gave me a really ****ed off stare once he got into the sump...

With wrasses, you just gotta watch em at night, 5 mins before all the lights turnoff they start to roam around to there fave spot... then when the lights turnoff remember... a couple of hours later just pic em off.. I did that with my large red coris...( dug in the sand right beside a huge rock )

Does he have a particular spot he loves to hide in? if not.. and he sleeps out on the sandbed.. then pretty much just carefully net him while the lights are out early in the morning... NO LIGHTS, I used a redlight to see while catching him... My watchman acutally is very tame, I could actually work on things right beside him, and actually have to really nudge him to make him move.... sometimes will rest on my gloves or pinchers...

No....unfortunately he hides in the many burrows he's made under the live rock at nite. Didn't realize my sand bed was that fine and everytime he sifts or burrows....I get lots of sand floating thru the tank. Needless to say the corals are not happy with this desert Sahara effect. He also recognizes the net as non-friendly also. Do you think he'll go into a water bottle if there's food?

Yes, my dragon gobies do that when I'm trying to do the "MELEV's MANDARIN Diner ".. they take the food.. I think a deper bottle with a string attached to it so that when then go it all the way to the end for the food, all you have to do is pull the string...

I tried tonite and didn't have much success. It's like fishing in the lake....no bites while you're waiting. The watchman went in but not the diamond. I'll try again this weekend.

You can try hardly feeding him, not really starving but get him to really want the food in the bottle and kinda have a longer string to make you more out of site from the tank...???? Trust me, you don't want to go through what I had to a couple of days ago to get my Anthias and Dragon Goby pair... Had to break the whole tank down and all rocks out... major PITA. talk about 4 1/2 hrs of back breaking pain....

Ohhhhhh no.... that's worst that what you went through just to catch the 6line in your sump. I feel your pain Charles.

Yeah, man talk about 4 1/2 hrs of back breaking work... well its for the good of the tank, got to re-aquascape and now enables me to finally go with the full fairywrasse and flasher wrasse tank......

BTW- how's the 6line doing for you.. ?

I hardly see it... it's still a little skittish after going through kidnapping in the middle of the night and being stuck in a sump. It's probably still mad at you for pawing it off. LOL!. Sorry to had to go through that hassle in catching it from your sump.

Its alright man... He's specially good at knocking off your ampipod and copepods population if you are overstock in them.. plus once comfortable in his new realm, he will constantly buzz through all the rock and coral inspecting for pods and FW's. His color will fully show once acclimated.

PM me pics once he's in your tank.
