Wanna be a reefkeeper
One of the pictures posted yesterday didn't take so here it is. In this picture you can see that both heads on the pump work in unison. When the pump is on, the tube to the left is drawing old water out of the refugium and the tube to the right is adding an equal amount of new artificial salt water to the sump at the same time. The water exchange is always equal regardless of what speed the pump is run at.

You must have another experienced reefer at home minding the tank. That's gotta be nice!

Yeah I know. Waiting for frags to fill in is very frustrating. Its going to be interesting waiting to see what my tank looks like when I come home to visit from college this year haha. I'm expecting some crazy changes.

Thanks ZackDefinitley a sweet set up.
Thanks! It worked out well. Most of the time I use the area as a typical workbench so it serves double duty. Folks ask about moisture issues but I haven't seen any. The wood stays nice and dry thanks to a small exhaust fan inside the sump area, a little A/C in the garage, Danish oil finish treatment cabinet grade plywood, and kilz on the inside area of the cabinet. (Just sharing ideas that worked to pass it along in case someone else can use them.) The only light inside the cabinet s a D120 LED over the refugium and it doesn't put out much heat so its a fairly good design for my use.Very nice setup you got there, that equipment room is the bees knees
