okay, well thats good. My bro is a moron and wont take me to marine land to get my inverts. RRRRRR. But o well, I will most likely go on Saturday, with the parentals, they usually pay for my stuff anyways! lol.
Fishes: Your lucky that ur older and can get a job, probably 16, 17 im guessin. Well try being 14 and really tall and everyone thinks your 18!
Well thats no good. You being 14 and outragously tall as you said. And the fact that you cant go anywhere by yourself. Im 16, and yes i do have my own car. But i basically have to pay for everthing i need, especially for my hobby. I got a job when i was 14 at a LFS in Pennsylvannia, when i lived there. And ive been working ever since. Try and get those inverts on saturday. =)
I have to get some for my tank tommorrow. My 10g that i just started. Any ideas on how much your going to get on saturday??
No idea! I would like to get 2-3 hermits and 1-2 snails. Where I live there arn't that great of deals. But the Marine Land that is close has some pretty good deals. Is $2 good for a hermit. I think so. Otherwise for shrimp......don't really see much. And I dont know about any of you people, but there are no specialty fish stores around my town. I would love to have one here, but there are just already so many pet shops.
wow winconsin. Yea some lfs's tend to rip people off. And the good thing for me is that i live in florida and i have about 5or 6 really good lfs's in a 15 mile vicinity.
I was looking at prices for sand at petco and I was surprised how cheap it was.....now I feel stupid. So how hard is it to change the substrate because that would just look so much better.
You can take all the rock out then scoop up the old sand that you dont want and put in the new sand BUT, it will stress the fish out to an extreme. So i say why not just add the sand to the old existing sand. Why are you putting in new sand in the first place??
Well I wouldn't be adding more sand because I never had sand in the first place. I just the sand would look more natural. And yeah, I forgot.........What will I do with my fish? Is it possible to put them in a bag while I change the substrate?
The best thing to do is just keep them in there. Put the sand in cups and pour it on the bottom. Dont just pour it in from the bag. It will stress the fish too much. Sorry i didnt know you didnt have sand.=)
Thats fine.....I just don't like the rocks, they're just strange lookin' in there. I'll have to scoop the little rocks out that are in there now and gradually start adding the sand. I found some really nice sand that I liked at Petco so the plan is to go there tomorrow. When I'm diggin' around in there. Should I keep everything I find in there such as Bristle worms and anything else that decides to crawl out?
