I have a 250 double ended XM 10k and an 18 " 30 watt VHO actinic. With a computer fan blowing across the light and water, the tank stays at an even 79 degrees. I drip kalk every night which works out good for the amount of evap that is caused by the lights. I just added a Red Sea wave maker running 2 Maxi Jet 900's. So far, so good.

I really like that last tanks aquascape... seems everyone builds caves and towers, but that looks more natural, with the top over hanging the bottom.
Excellent Nano!

Thanks for the nice comments. It is pretty hard working the rock scape within such a small area, especially when you are trying to fit 25-30 sps pieces!:)

I dont tink it is a lot of light at all. According to some researchers, the par generated on many of the reefs an hour or so after the sun comes up greatly exceeds the output of a 400watt halide. I started with a 175 with 2 65 actinics and upgraded to this after a while. Is is necessary to sustain sps in a 10 gal...perhaps not, but it opens a whole new door to different coloration and growth.
