12" LED stunner strips to supplement Halide pendant

I'm currently using a 250W 14k DE Phoenix bulb in a pendant reflector hanging from my ceiling to light my tank. For the most part, I'm happy with the overall color of the tank. But I'd like more pop from my corals. I'd like more florescence. I'm not trying to make a halide into an all actinic bulb look for some crazy photographs or anything. But I just want an improvement. I've seen those real short 12" LED stunner strips that can run on the edge of the halide pendant. Any feedback on them? And what color I should choose? I'd think the royal blue color.... but the tank is already reasonably blue in color. Maybe UV? Or magenta? I've seen the ecoxotic and true lumens ones. I'm looking for something simple and lightweight I can secure to the edge of my pendant. Both sides if need be.

The stunner strips are nowhere near powerful enough and will make no visual difference when the halides are running. You need a buildmyled strip for that. The new MC actinic strip is a great option. That will be powerful enough to see

Argh. The BML strips are too big/heavy/bulky to hang on the edge of my pendant. Not that being heavy/bulky is a bad thing, as I'm sure it's required to dissipate the heat of quality LEDs.... just compared to the stunner strips. I can't have one strip of LEDs mounted to my tank and a pendant halide. I know they make a hanging kit. But the way it's designed, I wouldn't be able to use the single eye-bolt I have in my ceiling for the halide. Plus there's no way to "aim" them like with the tank mounts. So it will be centered closer to the front or back since the halide is dead center.

I have reefbrites on my pendant. One on each side, it is enough to add a noticeable blue tint. I actually cut mine down to the proper size (they were originally 24in's supplementing a different light). You can special order there 12-13" model to the exact dimensions...or do it yourself. The lights are painfully simple.

I am running a EcoXotic Pro 445nm and a regular Stunner, it is barely perceptible at full power with the Radium and only slightly perceptible when running a 10K.

Ugh. Guess I should make my own. I just don't want it to look DIY.... and have a separate LED driver in the stand etc...

Some people add reefbrite strips.
I'm going to add a diy RapidLED solderless kit to mine.
Just posted a thread in the diy forum.
