120G Recommendations

I already have a 6101 and single controller for my upcoming 120G build. I'm wondering if it would be better to add a second 6101 or a wavebox. I believe cost should be similar time you add in the multicontroller w/ the second 6101.

Also, my skimmer will be feed directly from one of the 2 overflows. Would a wavebox cause a problem with a skimmer feed in such a way?

I take it the overflows are in the corners?

No, they are the dual offset back overflows from AGA (Aquaon).

That is a tough call, in the back corners I would definitely advise against it. How much flow through does the skimmer require? Do you know anyone with a wavebox that you could borrow for a day before you make your decision?

The skimmer should only get about 150 gph. One overflow would be going to the refugium the other to the skimmer section, that overflow will have a T and a valve to control that water to the skimmer. The rest will just pass by.

It is sounding like it would be a safer bet for the dual 6101's.

It is the safer bet but I think the wavebox could be made to work, I just am not 100% positive.
