Kents has 3 sides of glass.....not sure how many dippy plans on

In kent's thread you can see how the wood frames in the glass

Mike. It attaches to the epoxy, and it sticks to it very very well. I still have the test silicone on places in my tank because it was near impossible to get it off.

Also, the silicone is acting in compression only which means it doesn't really have to stick to either material to work. The wood frame makes a complete "ledge" and a silicone bead is applied all the way around. The glass then gets pushed into this bead and only the front surface of the glass is in contact with the silicone. Any water pressure actually squeezes the glass into the silicone and makes for an even better seal.

Dan, you go with your bad silicone compression knowing self! I always wondered about that, but was afraid to ask I guess. So the glass isn't epoxied at all? Is the silicone applied on the inside? Like the inside 90 of the corner? Also so the edges of the glass meet, or what kind of joint is used if they don't?

It's not like that. It's hard to explain. You are welcome to see my tank or you can see this tank being made.
