Sooo after much thought, reading and lots of procrastinating (not to mention work:(). I finally started my 125 build. :celeb2::celeb1:
A local reefer pointed me in the right direction, and I will be humble and say they were rather insightful and that helped my procrastination go away. Everyone on this forum has been helpful and friendly, and I say thank you.

Here is where I started. 30g w/ hob 1-10k 1- actinic

She wanted a deeeep, sand bed. I have to remove some when she's not looking:D. I am going to actually use most of it, in a large basement sump eventually. Its 150 lbs of dry aragonite ( and yes I tested it w/vinegar:reading:) and some live sand mixed ,although not very well mixed right now.

Temporary sump.

Temporary sump.

Water drains in the middle into a Tupperware bin, with the over flow covered w filter material. Water drains towards the skimmer on the left. the return water enters another bin on the right side with filter media also covering that opening to reduce micro bubbles. There will be live sand rock w/ some chaeto (sp) in the front 4 inches of the sump when its done. Still have to plumb the UV in also.
