Thanks,
Here's a couple of pics of the 2 new pieces, the second turned out to be larger than it looked when I got it so I'm having a difficult timing finding the perfect spot for it.

Here's another piece I picked up from a friend, it's a deep water that is very rare, it's not even in the Veron book. It's called something like sauorshenoi but I'm posting in the SPS forum for a definite ID.

They said I had to send it in to be looked at. A $500 camera that lasted slightly over a year. Ridiculous! Cost me $171 to have them look at it.

I did a quick google search for my camera and came up with this

There's a few stores under $300. I love this camera and prefer it over the one that they replaced it with, I've used both. You could also get the cheaper underwater adapter like I did. Just an idea

Well my canopy was finished today, took longer than expected but well worth it.
It all started from a sheet of pine.

We put in alumium railing for my fixture to slide back and forth on, the railing goes out of the back to move the light out of the way more. Below are the bumpers that stop the light.

The blue piece is the railing.

Here's where we routed out for my SEIO mod.

I also wanted to be able to get into the tank with ease, so we designed a latch using part of the existing leg mounts, a cabinet latch and a piece of metal. This allows me to slide the fixture back and tilt the entire fixture up giving me more than enough room to do anything.

Here's a pic of it put together

All of the holes in the top are vent holes for fans.
We put the formica on the front, sides, and top of the canopy

Next was to protect the inside, we sprayed it with black lacquer and then used a 2-part epoxy for 2 clear coats. The first 2 pics are before, the last pic shows what it looks like finished, that's a door.

Next was to layout all of the electrical. I put in 3 fans, 2 T5 actinic lights, and 5 more moonlights, I also mounted a backup airator in there. I accidentally broke one of the T5 bulbs when mounting it so I'll pick up another one this week, that's why only one is on.

Here's a pic of the moonlights, I added 5 of these which have 2 bulbs each, I also have 4 on my fixture, giving me a total of 14 moonlights
The new ones were mounted on 45 degree blocks which hit a lot more corals than the ones facing directly down miss.

Here's a pic of the electrical on the tank

Here are some pics of the fixture latched up and how much room it really gives me.

I haven't had time to polish it all yet but here's a shot of it, one with the stand, and also one with the moonlights on.

Thanks Matt! Having fun back at school??

Yes and no, its nice to be back, but I'm trying to get back in the swing of working hard... I should have waited to see the rest of the pictures, very very nice man!

Looks great, one question where did you pick up the formica? I have a buddy that has a stand that has black laminant and I need to figure out what to cover the canopy that I made with to get it to match.
