Well here's some pics of my girlfriend's tank that we just moved into my bedroom.
After a short episode of "Pimp my tank" this is the result, I'll try and get some pics with everything open tomorrow
The clams I'm watching for someone during the storm

Well here's what it looked like before. I threw a bunch of my frags and extra corals in and a rock I just picked up, reaquascaped and bam.

The stand and canopy were redone by her uncle and also came out nicely I thought

Looking good as usual Greg.

Thank you! I should have some updated pics soon of the new SPS pieces and how I've moved a few things areound in the tank.

On a sadder note, I haven't seen my Lineatus or Exquisute fairy wrasses since the hurricane. I figure they were hiding but am starting to get worried. My Powder Blue is also not looking as good as usual I noticed.

LOL. When I read this I was thinking two things. 1. We can't tank about here and 2. The words in the particular sequence... "My bedroom"& "my girlfriends tank". You will soon find the word "my" in these two quotes disappear:)

Ihope for the best. Those were two very nice wrasses and I hope they are not gone. Good luck and give us an update when u find out anything.

Here's a really cool SPS piece I picked up right before the storm, it's purple. If anyone has an idea of the ID let me know.

Here's another piece that I've had for a while, I'm not sure of the ID of this one either, some say blue tort some say not. It's more blue than the pics, hard to take a pic of the true color.

the first one, (i believe) is a shouldbeinmytankapora.. :spin2:

Thanks guys, the blue is a tort and the purple is a gomezi
Well, I've got good news and bad news.
Bas news first, my losses from the hurricane are higher than originally thought. I also lost my Lineatus and Exquisite wrasses and it weakend my powder blue so much that he ended up dying a couple of days ago

Now for the good news, I finally got my calcium reactor hooked up last night.
For those who have been to my house, you know I have about as much room for more equipment as I do for more coral so I had to figure out where to put it. Then I figured why am I wasting all of that 7.5 inched in between my stand and the wall so I had my friend help me build a stand to house the reactor. The stand is on appliance moving wheels so it is very stable and the pH monitor is built into the front of it so when it is pushed out of site I can still look at the pH easily.
Last night Alberto (dgasmd) came over and helped me set it up and showed me how to dial it in. Thanks Alberto!
The reactor really is a work of art and is built incredibly well. We'll see how it performs but the size is also amazingly small to be rated for up to 800 Gallons

Here's how the stand looks, the blue pipe won't come out of the front after a trip to Home Depot, so ignore that

WOW

WOW

You have a beautiful tank! You give me hope with my niger trigger. So far he hasn't nipped at anything but I don't have much yet (tank only been up a month). I love my trigger and don't want to have to move him (it would give me an excuse to buy another tank though :D). My trigger is pretty good, he will eat krill from my hand and is fianally getting over his shyness and exploring the full tank. Thanks for the hope of keeping him in original tank!

Just thought I throw in a pic of my beginning tank, mabey a master like you could give some advise?!?!

I like the aquascaping
I love my trigger also, he does bite my fingers every once in a while just to remind me that he's a trigger but doesn't cause any problems at all. Some advice would be to make sure you read a lot and don't always take the first advice given to you, there are different ways to fix problems and some will make things worse. Make sure you don't buy cheap equipment, it will make your life a lot easier. Also, don't jump into too many tanks, it's starts to turn into a job and you may start to dread it. Feel free to ask questions here if you need.
