Well I was getting kind of worried as I didn't see my jawfish yesterday at all. I woke up this morning and he's moved into my engineer goby's guest bedroom, right in the front of my tank (woo-hoo).

Hey Greg,
I must say nice tank. I wanted to ask you a quick question. Do you ever meet up with others in WPB to trade frags, talk about stuff ect? I looked at the club forum for WPB and Jupiter and they are kinda stale compared to the one here in Orlando. I am from Jupiter but I am in Orlando for school hopefull I will be out end of summer. But when I am out I wanted to meet some people who had reef tanks too and possibly trade frags and stories.

Thanks,
Chris

If you click on my red house it will take you to the Palm Beach Marine Aquarium Society, we actually have a great group of people here and some really amazing tanks, we had a frag trade this year and do quite a bit of trading all of the time. We also have store sponsors who bring in special shipments and give us discounts. You shoud check it out. You can register on the site before you become a member and introduce yourself if you like, we don't use the RC forum anymore, that's why it's so dead. I definitely wouldn't have the collection that I have without the club as far as getting frags of things that you can't buy and having a web of people to inform you of nice fish and corals coming in and where. You can PM me if you have any questions but it's defintely something to check out.

Thanks Greg,
I am glad to know that there is a group of reefers in WPB. I was worried when I checked out the WPB forum and it was so dead. I will definitly be checking out the webpage. I am actually coming home this weekend to get a 140gal corner tank from my uncle :), I am very excited.

thanks,
Chris

That purple with green SPS looks amazing! Great coral! That is also very lucky that the new jawfish may be moving in to the front of the tank. You are having the best luck ever. :D

Greg.... That tank is just "OVER THE TOP" When are you going to run out of room..?? LOL it seems like you get stuff daily... Your bio-load has to be incredible....

HAPPY B-DAY ... by the way

It is a really prety piece, it's had to get the true color in a picture. I hope the jawfish decided to stay there, he's really easy to find now.

Isn't that trigger NOT REEF SAFE?????

I thought all Triggers were softie killers?
Certain trigger are more coral safe than other, that trigger iis a blue throat and is one of the much more timid triggers. I've never had a problem with him.

It is wierd how I go through spurts of just finding amazing stuff all at the same time. I have my new skimmer and pump sitting here and also my calcium reactor so I'm going to give my tank some backup soon. I want to build something to house the equipment so I'm planning that out now.
Maybe I'll rename the thread to "Look at what I got today!"

Well I was just elected in as Secretary of my local reef club, hopefully I be able to contribute in the healthy growth of the club.

Congrats. Now you can do a presentation on the value of water changes for the membership. Those newbies are in for it now. :D

I thought that I should also post the updated fish list as things have changed so much lately

2 Green Mandarins
2 True Perculas (Mated Pair)
1 Squampinnis (Lyretail) Anthias
1 Engineer Goby
1 Red Sea Naso Tang
1 Powder Blue Tang
1 Sailfin Tang

1 Blue Throat Trigger
3 Chromis
1 Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
1 Lineatus Fairy Wrasse
1 Yellow Flanked Fairy Wrasse
1 Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse

Hey Greg, you seem to be the resident Wrasse expert. Do you ever have any aggression issues? And Do you think I could keep a Six Line and some kind of Fairy Wrasse in a 55 gal long?

I think we need a full tank shot to celebrate Sunday morning!!
I wish I could today, I was planning on posting a bunch with my SPS pieces and all but I don't have time to take pics today, I'm putting up hurricane shutters for friends and family today, I'll post hopefully tomorrow if I have power.

Most fairy wrasse are not aggressive at all, any specific ones you're interested in?? I probably wouldn't suggest a sixline, I had one in my 55g and he got really aggressive, some have luck with them bu tI don't think it's worth the risk wince they're one of the hardest fish to catch.
