Wow Greg, that is incredibly inspiring. I really have to consider my downsizing after that...

Thanks, I think that is a very good idea

fishman, thanks, just because mine was done in 9 months doesn't mean that yours should be, I just happen to come across pieces that I wanted and that fit the reef well. Just keep soing it right so I can watch your videos later.

Chihuahua, I think that the 2 year old gave me the best compliment of all, those are about the hardest people in the world to please.:D

I think you misunderstood me Greg.... I have no intention of trying to compete here.... First: I don't have the resources that you obviously have/had and second... I've already suffered for going at it too fast.... No I'm just saying that you've given me "insperation" as to what can be achieved.... Shoot, I'd be happy to be where you're at now .... a year from now....

I still need to know what kind of camera you used for the video...:D

I think we misunderstood each other but I know what you mean:D I didn't mean competition at all.
The camera I used was a Sony DCR-PC330, the video came out really well before it was compressed. Before compression it was 830MB and after 10 MB.

DVD Quality, Oh yeh!

That's what I mean... We need a "Reef vid. thread" .... What the heck... I've talked about it so I'll post it ... Greg, why not be the first to add yours to the mix... It will be in this forum...

:D :D

Greg great video! Love the music!!! I do have a question. How do you get by with putting your coral so close together? Maybe I'm just overly cautious? I always thought they needed more space. Yours obviously are doing fine.

fishman805, I would post a much higher quality version if I found somewhere to host it. That would be cool if RC had a video forum like the photo forum. I'll be the first just tell me where to post!

Micki, thanks, about the coral placement it's dependant on the corals that are close to each other. All the corals were planned out on their placement. I do think that it is overexaggerated here.

I know what coral are aggressive etc. (talking about the coral in my tank). I need to look at your pics closer to see if we have any of the same things. Maybe I can move some of mine around. :)

If you watch the video on the top right, behind my torch, you can see my bubble coral kind of jammed in between two rocks. It's a beautiful piece but I have to worry about it stinging things. If things do sting each other it usually isn't instant death, other than SPS, if you see a coral irritated then just move it.

Well I just got home about an hour ago. I picked up my blue throat trigger today, what a gorgeous fish. He's hanging out under my yellow leather right now but has already been out swimming freely. Best of all my Chevron doesn't care about him at all.
I also picked up a nice Blasto piece today.
I'll try to get some pics soon.

Dang Greg... what do you do for a living..... I've got to sell stuff to get money for my tank ....LOL ( which I just did and I'm going back up to Atlanta next weekend...lol )

While I'm posting this, I got a question for you..... Do you or anyone you know of used their SEIO's on a wavemaker??? I know that SEIO's are not recommended for wavemakers but I've seen a unit that has a "soft start" feature.... What do you know or think about this..??? I'm wanting to get a couple of the 1100gal/hour units for my tank and want to run them on a wavemaker.... I can't afford two Tunzes.....

fishman, I fix computers, setup networks, stuff like that. I work for myself so I make decent money.
My SEIO turns on and off just fine, it was really bad the first 2 weeks but now works great. I don't know if I would put them on a wavemaker though.

Here's a pic of the tusk

Cool pic.... I've heard that you IT types can rake it in .... Anyway, What SEIO model are you running in your 125??

Oh and when are you getting the high def. video up???

( by the way... we "tronics folks don't do too bad either...lol )

fishman, I'm running an 1100gph SEIO on one side and a smaller penguin on the other side.
I uploaded the video to a google thing and it took like 5 days to verify, they said they woudn't host it, I think because of the song and copyright stuff. I remade the movie with no sound and am uploading it again but we'll have to wait some more days to see if they approve it now.
I just can't find anywhere to host a large file.

ablazinob, thanks, if you're talking about the red cap, that is actually a newer piece. One of my local reefers had to move out of town so I got that piece out of his tank.

What about the dedicated server you used last time..?? Is it too big this time for them to host it..?? Don't get me wrong I love seeing the tank .. but having music to it to just makes it that much better....

But I'll take it any way I can get it.... Thanks for going to all that trouble...

And I think I'm going with the 1500's for my tank...

That server only hosts files up to 10 megs.
The 1500s might be too strong, remember I only have 1 1100 in my tank.

Well I took a couple of pics this morning. My Blastos are still closed and my trigger is still very timid but both are expected. I'll take some better pics later.
