My Sony DSC is messing up :( It has a pink horizontal line across LCD and it also appears on the pics. Has something to do with the chip inside. Sucks... repairs from Sony almost cost of a new camera.
Sorry to hear that, did you get a repair quote or do they make you send it in.

That looks like a Longfin Bannerfish (Heniochus acuminatus) which is Not reef safe.

However the Schooling Bannerfish (Heniochus diphreutes) which looks almost identical is reef safe. The trick is identifying which Heniochus it is.

You can distinguish the two by the last black stripe on their body. On the Longfin Heniochus Bannerfish the last black stripe ends just above the corner of the anal fin, while on the Schooling Bannerfish the last black stripe ends down farther right at the bottom corner of the anal fin.

I actually confirmed it was the reef safe fish with a few other reef club members, I think it was just my luck.

Time for some more pics!

I've loved Powder Blue tangs for the longest time, just haven't found a really pretty one, they don't so well in the LFS, I saw this guy Thursday and had to have him. The Chevron bothered him for about 20 min and the sailfin tang for a few hours but all seems well now.
I think my clownfish is also pregnant, or I need to start feeding less before it dies of high cholesterol! I need to try and get a pic of her fatness.

I'd also like to see a new video or full tank shots showing off all the new stuff..... You know that you're an insperation to quite a few of us here..... And I agree with you on the PB Tang... I personally think that they're prettier than the Regals... But I love my Regal all the same.... I can't wait for my Naso to grow up and get it's adult look.... By the way, did you check out that fellas "new" crosshatch trigger ( in the thread by that name )..?? That is one georgeous fish ( IMO ) .. reef safe too.....

Bob

I been following your tank progress, and all I can say is that it's awsome. Hows the PB and tusk getting along? I'm hopeing to get this pair in my 125 that I'm planning.

Sorry about the video taking so long, my possible future sister in law had a baby about 2 weeks ago so they've had my camcorder for about 3 weeks and also accidentally detroyed the tape I had in there with some fish footage. Once I get it back it shouldn't take real long at all. I'll try and get some new tank shots up soon, it's a lot easier now that I have a digital cam again:D
I didn't see the thread, post a link if it's handy, but I've seen crosshatches before and they are definitely gorgeous.

Thanks!
They're doing great, I was only really worried about my tangs attacking it but I got the PBT slightly larger than the others so it helped cut down.
When you put them in I would suggest the tusk first or at the same time.

That is an awesome tank. Do you have a set schedule and what supplements you add or do you measure then add? If it's a schedule can you share that we us? Thanks

I dose a gallon a day of kalkwasser, use about 2 ounces of Alkalinity Plus and hardness plus by natureef every day. I also add some Iodine every week for my softies. It all varies on your tank load on how much add and how often, yo just have to experiment.

This is why I'm getting certified, one of friends in my reef club shot this with his Hi-Definition underwater video camera scuba diving locally here in Florida. Use the second link and download quicktime 7 in order to see it.

Yeh, but the video was of only one dive, I'm sure it will be better as he makes compilations.

Here are a couple of frags I got at last night's reef meeting

That Blue Tort looks great even though it is just a little guy! :D
Hopefully it won't stay small too long:D

Bob, here's an update on the canopy, the guy building it for me is going through a divorce, we were supposed to finish it yesterday but it was pushed until the beginning of next week. I'd rather not have him rush if you know what I mean. I went down to the wholesalers with a LFS owner yesterday because I had already cleared my work schedule to work on the hood and picked up some nice corals that I'll post later. I also picked up 2 of these to put in the canopy unerneath my fixture for extra actinics. I got 2 24" actinics.

They only use 14w a piece and are crazy birght, they're also linkable which is great.
I'm also planning on mounting 5 of these under my canopy at an angle to hit all of the corals that my original moonlights miss.

I picked up 3 with the transformers and 2 of the links, just to make it easier to wire.
I'll bring my camera and take pics the next time I see it next week so even if it isn't done you can see what it looks like so far.

Nice.......

Thanks for the update..... Man, your setup just keeps evolving and getting better.... Gota be a TOTM comming to ya soon....

Bob
