Click on my red house for the club's site. Our next meeting is Saturday at Coral Sea aquariums, he's giving 25% off of most of the store for club members, you're welcome to check it out and if you join you get the discount. I may also have time before if you want to see the tank, Coral Sea is about 5 mins from my house. Let me know if you're gonna come.

Judging from the pic you posted of your new Naso, it is not a Blonde Naso. The Blonde Nasos have an orange dorsal fin. The regular Nasos have the black dorsal fin like your new one.

What time would it be on Sat.? And I would love to stop by and see your tank.

If you go to the site there is info about the meeting, it starts between 5:30-6:00 PM, I was thinking about having a few people over around 4:00PM, some members that haven't seen the tank or new canopy. I'll PM you my number later, call me tomorrow sometime and let me know.

You're right, I don't know why I thought it was a blonde at the store, it is much prettier though, much more color throughout.

Here's a pink milli I picked up today. I've been looking at this for a couple of weeks and decided to do it. It's a really pretty pink milli, I think it's going to color up a lot more. The pics are right after I put it in so the polyps aren't out. It took 6 tubes of superglue to get it to attach to the glass because of the size of it. It was $79 and $67 after club discount, if that's not a good deal I don't know what is.

Does that much Cyano Acrylate affect your skimmer adversely? Very pretty. I like how you attached it.

That's a nice little addition there!
Thanks, I've been looking for something for that spot and this is perfect, I can't wait for the polyps to be flowing.

Thanks, not really when you use the gel, it dries so quickly it really doesn't matter, there's no way I could have used epoxy to attached this piece like this. I'm going to glue a lot more SPS on the back wall when I find the right pieces.

Greg,

I read 13 pages of your thread tonight I will finish reading it later. I like to read the whole before writting but I do what to comment on your tank. I think the only thing that FastUno forgot to say about the success of your tank is EFFORT and ENERGY that you put into this tank. Things don't just happen by chance if that was true than we all would have super tanks like yours. I did not see a pic of your engineering goby do you have one? It might be in pages 14 thru 24 I'll continiue to read. Question about the UV sterilizer. Does the UV sterilizer effect your pods population?

Side note to SSgt Todd who posted on your thread. God bless you for your service to our country. Prays goes with you.

Thank you very much, it has definitely taken a lot of energy and effort to get to this point.
I don't have a good pic of my engineer goby but I'll try and get one, I've had him since he was a baby about 8 months ago and now he's about 9" long, but is still shy so I'll have to get him while feeeding.
As far as the UV goes, I know of a lot of successful, absolutely gorgeous tanks, that run UV with no ill effects. I have had a pair of mandarins in there for months and I see pods everywhere when I take out corals to mount or move rocks around. I really don't think that it will have a large impact on a pod population if any.

Very nice tank!! Nice to see how a tank can be run successfully without burning 250w/ 400w halides over it.

Thanks, everyone says the more light the better and that's not always true especially in a shallower tank like this.

Well tonight was my reef club's meeting and it was at a LFS. We got a 25% discount tonight and I got some pretty good deals, I should have pics tomorrow.
chrisaggie brought me a superman danae frag, at the meeting I picked up 2 different blastos, 2 different micromussa pieces, and a pink ecinophyllia.

I read all 24 pages; nice work (understatement of the year.) One question I didn't think of until page 24: What type of sand/substrate are you using, and how much of it??
