130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Looking forward to your review of these pumps...

It's clear at this point its not a matter of if, but rather when, my WP40's crap the bed again. Originally purchased 3 of them, and every one of them has had the motors, controllers, and power supplies replaced already in less than 2 years. Needless to say I will not repeat that mistake, so I am looking at options for when that time comes...

lol...these things are pretty incredible...

Ted,
I would have loved to have had the chance to meet your dad. From what you say about him he reminds me of my dad.
You had better get yourself down here for a visit! The islands are much more crowded than when you were on Kauai but still a beautiful place and I think that anyone in Hawaii who reads RC would love to meet you in person.

Karen

Thanks for the kind words, it's all about family! Glad to hear you dad and I went to the same "school."
It is sad to see what big "ag" and big gov. has done to Kauai.
I hope to get there soon but, lol, my sister will be there next week.
She is a literacy expert, google Pam Allyn and her companies, Liflife and LitWorld.
Next week, she is meeting with a group of Elders to discuss literacy on the Islands...
She is amazing, brilliant, funny, but is not a hobbyist...

Can't wait to see those Gyres in action!

Hey Gris,

I hope that I can move the "snow" off my rocks and into the overflow within a week or so and then remove...
The extra current will be great but I don't like having them in the tank...
I tried many different ways to increase the flow at the far end but it is tough without messing up the view...
Nice thing is I have the quad in the ceiling so wires shouldn't be much of an eyesore...

Hope you and your family is doing well!
I was going to ask about whether they are obtrusive or an "eyesore" when in the tank?
On a peninsula style tank, if not on the overflow side, then then I would imagine so....
So you're only using them temporarily? If you don't mind me asking, I'd like to see how they look in the tank?
Maybe a clear plastic model with black only covering mechanical components is in the future.. lol

Hey bud,

Yeah, that is my predicament...the initial unit they showed last year was clear....each unit is almost a foot, so there would be a 3 foot black bar at the far end of the tank, the cords will not be an eyesore but I really don't want anything blocking the view...I could place them on the overflow end but I don't think that would help push the snow into the overflow..
Will post pics when I get all 3 in the tank..

TK

So I thought I would take Lemon's advice to get some good pics, lol, a total disaster...
these are bad...
this is only good in that it shows how healthy she is...

my lil girl...

lol, thanks...I can only take credit for getting her upright...she is picking at something and you can tell from the pics that I have not cleaned the tank as I normally would...
Larry new food should be here soon and I hope that she will like the black worms...

this pics were taken a couple hours after the last...
the sun was hitting the end of the tank....
natural sunlight is always a good thing....

the candy pair, tough to get them...

lol, here she is, basking in the sunlight and looking good...
