130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Ted,
I feel privileged to have been a part of the good times you and your dad had together. I have never met either of you in person but I feel that I know you well from all you have shared here. My thoughts are with you and your family and if there's anything I can do for you please let me know.

Take care.
Love,
Karen

Thanks Karen...he was set on us visiting you when I mentioned you would not be attending Macna...I hope to make it one day, and thank you for all you have shared with me...

I am a faithful reader of your thread. I seldom make any reply because I am not so good in writing! Everyday, I visit RC and check whether humaguy get any update on his thread. I got to believe any aquarium hobbyist who know english and computer had been browsing your thread. Yesterday, I found this sad news.
My deepest condolences to your family!
Both you and your father are full of passion on reeffish keeping! I believe your father have no more regret because you has already inherited all his aquarist's wisdom and knowledge. I also envious you because both my father and my son has no passion and even no interest on reeffish keeping! I can't share my sadness and happiness on reeffish keeping with them.

Thank you...

Ted

So sorry for your loss. What a wonderful relationship that your Dad was interested and able to appreciate your hobby - something I am jealous of. You have my condolences.

Thank you my friend...he was such a great guy and he loved you and always asked about you...was glad you had a chance to get to know him in Montauk, it seems like that was yesterday, tough to believe it was about 20 years ago...will call soon...
btw, stoked you are in here and posting...!

;) been lurking, read and too, notes on this whole thread, it's what got me up and running again. Sorry if my name is similar....

Montauk does seem like yesterday, what memories, getting locked out sleeping on porch, making tortillas and salsa driving the Vette out there.

kills...you mentioned you were but I did think often, that is excellent..

love the name, when I saw it, I was going to comment on how I was digging it, then when I started reading and saw the old friend comment, I could believe it was you...lol, most excellent...

Sorry for your loss Ted, happy to hear you could make some great memories together the last year, they'll be with you forever.

the colins is still here and lol, I have yet to see her eat, but cleary, she is finding something. she moves around, is aware, and seems to be doing fine...Larry is sending the test run breeder's blend, that drew, yalcin, and a few others report great success with... I hope the black worms in the blend get the colin's attention, they are another great source of nutrients for our fish...

Here are the gyres...probably wont get to them until Thanksgiving...
they are much bigger than I thought, each unit is 12 inches long...
the metal black box with foam inserts is a nice touch and is needed...
that is a long dent on the lefthand rim on this unit...

Looking forward to your review of these pumps...

It's clear at this point its not a matter of if, but rather when, my WP40's crap the bed again. Originally purchased 3 of them, and every one of them has had the motors, controllers, and power supplies replaced already in less than 2 years. Needless to say I will not repeat that mistake, so I am looking at options for when that time comes...

My first thought on seeing the post with the Gyre was "What the heck is that?" I thought it might be a UV unit of some kind. Looks interesting and I'll be googling it. Thanks for keeping us up to date on aquarium innovations!

Ted,
I would have loved to have had the chance to meet your dad. From what you say about him he reminds me of my dad.
You had better get yourself down here for a visit! The islands are much more crowded than when you were on Kauai but still a beautiful place and I think that anyone in Hawaii who reads RC would love to meet you in person.

Karen
