I wouldn't say there are pellets specifically for triggers per say, I feed mine new life spectrum and ocean nutrition formula two (more for my tang and angel). My Niger will eat anything except krill, even nori

Try the 3mm PE pellets made by Piscine Energetics, they are great. Have PE Mysis in them. I usually avoid dry foods but these pellets are great. They come in 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm. They float which can be an issue, but take a plastic cup, cut the bottom out, hold in tank, pour some pellets in, swirl around, or blow on them, so they sink.

try and avoid krill as they are heavy in Thiaminase.

Indian Ocean, newer to the hobby- so costly, open-water swimmers so they should be reef safe. Still hoping my baby x trig is this but not holding my breath. I put one thru qt for my buddy's huge system, nice enough fish but not overly beautiful, imho.

Just finished reading every post in the thread. Took about a week... LOL. What a ride. Beautiful tank and livestock selection.
I've been out of the hobby for the better part of the last decade, but my interest is back up to start a tank. Just happened to spot this thread last week while looking for threads on bigger tanks. This was a good refresher and very helpful to brush up on my latin again (surprised how much was still in archived).
I wonder if you could post who you got your tank from; looks like it got *'ed out in the OP. Would you recommend them?
This is all still in daydream territory, since the eventual house purchase is the critical first step, but I'm considering my next tank and it will have to be something in the 200-400 gallon range. I love equipment planning, so I can do this for a few years until I'm ready again.
Anyway, thanks for so thoroughly documenting everything. Very nice gramma, BTW...

Killer, thanks for the read.
My tank was essentially done by the folks at Titan, and they are amazing. I would recommend going as big as possible. My biggest regret is not making the tank deeper but I initally planned on putting everything underneath it, rather than outside it, or on a lower floor.
Funny about the gramma. Had a house full of relatives here last week. They were taking pics of the tank for their friend in California who has a small tank. Lol, they all glazed over when I was talking about the Gp, Casper/Dash, and hybrid Gem, but were thrilled to talk about the small rainbow fish on the other side of the tank. Ironically, I totally "get it", I was obsessed with saltwater fish the first time I saw my buddies tank in 84, it had a cleaner wrasse- that lived for 7 years, a bicolor parrot, royal gramma, humu, a small scribbled and a baby navarchus. After I saw that tank, my freshwater tank became salt!
Check out the really sexy royal gramma, Gramma dajongi. If you haven't seen them yet, you will be blown away!
