130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Now that would be impressive

Hey Derek,

I saw the other post on phone and will reply here as, lol, it is quicker! I think it must be hlle. She came with a lil something under the eye, only on that side. Sometimes I feel it is her physiology but.. It is perplexing, that is for sure.

Hope all is well!

Yeah I was wondering. So it came in with a lil and still hasn't healed up? Strange definitely as I know your food choices and water quality are top notch. Every zebrasoma I've brought in for myself or friends has almost always healed from minimal hlle within a month or so. Especially with good nori feedings

Yes things are great on my end, thank you. My GP is still only about 2.5". She seems to not be growing much especially given the amount I feed. But no worries on my end. It's quite nice how the colors are so strikingly pure at this size.

It might be my fault for not feeding nori constantly all the time, per se, but my rationale is it is in Larry's and Rod's. Lol, having said that, I did get some nori a few weeks back and was surprised at how many fish seemed to crave it and be missing it. The biggest surprise was the lunula, who could not get enough the first few days, the x trig also went crazy for it. My well-water got much harder over the past year, I wonder now what role that may have played? I was stoked to hear that you got a gp, such insanely wonderful fish and so aptly named. Toss up some new pics of her.

Best of luck with all,

Ted

My obsession with Rhinecanthus never dims.

Blondie and a Gp just after going into the dt from the iso boxes. Amazing how tiny the gp were and how big Blondie was!

I wish these came out better, curious what the L16 will do. LOl, It seems I would benefit from a camera that allows me to focus a picture after I have taien it.

Goodness those GP are fat. What are you feeding these days? Seeing any spawning behavior from them?

Love the shots of the trigger, that blue really stands out.

Lol, they are happy. The go love spir brine, pe mysis, and clams. They also get Larry's and Rod's. The do show some signs but I am pretty sure they need a deeper tank and more room to give me eggs.

Love that lunula too!

Hope all is well!

Ted, what depth tank were the parents in at Karen's?
Also if they did spawn, would you be worried about deformities given the inbreeding?

gotta check when home but think it is 38 deep and free or lr. i wouldn't worry about it per se, but def something that would be looked at as they grew. any eggs I get would go straight to karen, todd, or chad...

Hey bud,

Lol, I wish I could answer that. I guess X would be the safest. Some have had luck with Sufflamen in reefs and report them as being very mellow. I had a different experience with them and found them to be aggressive. Odonus is the same, though opposite case. I have always found them to be mellow but many have a different story. Melichthys too. Some have great experiences and I have had really mellow easy going ones. But I also had indicus, niger, and vidua that were off the charts insane.

Really tough to give advice on triggers as the pendulum can swing so wildly and often does so when least expected. Nothing is ever set in stone with these fish but I love them!

Good luck and hope all is well with you!

Ted

Are there any pellet foods available for triggers, my goofy niger trigger would rather eat the shrimp pellets than the actual shrimp...
