130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Man I wish you posted more pictures...J/K.

Thanks so much for sharing these little guys with us, they look awesome.

Long term, what is the plan for pairing these fish. Do they naturally exist in pairs or trios? Do you think you'll have to watch for aggression as they mature and two of them form a pair?

No soup for you! :lmao:

I am already watching for aggression and had to move 1 gp into an iso box for a week as she went rogue and became a huge pita, there was some fin damage as the 2 really went at it...things are quiet, for now..

Thanks! The stress does get interesting from time-to-time...
I try not to think of the monetary value each fish has attached to it but rather that they are all priceless and my friends, might sound cheesy but im okay with that...and, lol, that lil royal gramma still turns everyone's head...

Not cheesy at all - that's a great fish keeping motto!

It's funny seeing Blondie in those pictures. She looks happy to have friends!

Clippertons? Seriously? Ted, would you agree that this is the best year for Angelfish lovers, EVER?

Yes, a killer year...I don't think the clip news is accurate and hope to be happily proven wrong...
on the plus side, wen-ping thinks he has tb townsends but needs a few weeks to be sure...

Ted,

Any thoughts of adding any corals to the display tank?

I could send you a box of pulsing xenia. Enough for some to picked at and some to flourish. They are great for extra filtration.

Let me know if you are interested.

Dave,

Many thanks for the generous offer.
It is greatly appreciated.
At this point i'm not going to add any corals...
Lol, still focusing on fish!

Thanks!

Ted. I noticed one or 2 of your gp has some scales missing and fins damaged on other. Was that from aggression. Cause it happened to me but was bacterial. Fins and tails and scale loss. I'm all ok now. Just checking in. Watch it.

Thx. Took tank off system and did 50 to 75 per daily waterchanges and dosed kannamycin plus furan plus metrodonizole. For week and replaced all water with fresh doses. Then it came back again with one fish significantly worse. Put him in separate hospital tank with cipro for 5 days and then switched to kanna plus trippple sulfa plus metro. Then it happened again in 40 gallon breeder to original one and did same thing but put little guy back from hospital tank and I dosed kanna plus neomycin. Then is topped that after 7 days

And started feeding with enroflaxen ie baytril for few days in food. But when it bloated them and I started to see them swim upside down that was the end of baytril. They are all fine now. But man. Was a fight. Kept loosing scales and fins. I have theory why but that's another story.

Oh. And did a few days of prazi with antibiotics also just in case it was some sort of parasite fluke acting like bacterial. That's why I used metro also. Then I also took them out and switched rock and dried and sterilized tank before returning them. And put back online.

Dude you're armed to the gills! Haha... If you can, maybe start a thread on your theory of scale & fin? Does it have to do with environment, stress of others, etc?

I think these gp s were tank raised in sterile conditions and lack immunity to natural bacteria. I think my reef has plenty down stream where they are from dosing vodka vinegar. And bacteria populations are higher than they were used to in karens tanks. Along with this we started to siphon tanks daily and use less rock and trapped less food. Also we changed where vodka vinegar dosing took place and cut vinegar ie raised ph. The lower ph with vinegar and calcium reactors with co2 may have influence on these baby fish. Iie 7.9 instead of 8.1. Also I'm convinced when ozone and carbon are mixed in high flow it breaks down the carbon or releases something bad in water. Everytime I've used this combo I get fish with no fins. Remove ozone and use carbon more passively and the hlle fin rotting goes away. All the above.
