Looking GREAT!

Looking GREAT!

B.C. 74 The build is looking GREAT! I am ordering 2 of the 120 watt LED units from http://www.aquariumleds.com as soon as I finish this short post. Mine is a 90 gallon and I can't wait to get into the build. Thanks for sharing with us, and keep on reefin! :fish1:

Question on your lights.....are the leds soldered in or are they popped in. I'm thinking about bulb replacement should any die out. I heard the old coralife leds were soldered and you had no means to replace a defective led.....but that they solved this issue more recently. Not that I'm looking to buy coralife, but I'm wondering how aquariumleds will hold up over time and what can be done if some maintenance is required. Nice diy set up. Cheers

Yes the lights work great. I am still happy. They do not look blue. The 20ks might, but the 14ks do not. Not sure you can replace the chips. The way I looked at it, for the price if one ever breaks I will replace the whole unit. You get 1 year warranty. And if one breaks on or after a year, I definitely got my money's worth compared to what I would of spent replacing T5 or MH bulbs :D

The last fish in that photo is a "sandhopper blenny"

Since the pics, I moved some rock work around to place the RBTA more directly under one of the lights. It was in between 2 of the light boxes, and I was afraid it was not getting enough light.

Not selling, possibly trading. :D

Figured I would toss it up on CL barter and see if anything comes down the pipe that interest me.

I guess I enjoyed building it more than playing with it afterwards. :D

Came home from work today and the female clown was hosting in the bicolored condy anemone. Interesting...lol I watched her for months eye ball this thing and get closer and closer but I did not think this type anemone would let her host! Clown fish....they rock :D

she has been laying her eggs inside that rock cave for the last 5-6 months or so (their old anemone host, that red large bubble tip was footed in that rock cave, it got sick so I had to remove it :( ), the 3 of them get along, but at night, only the pair is allowed in the rock cave hehe

lots of purple and a kenya tree doing well (grew this from the size of a quarter). these LEDs grow the mess out of some purple coralline....
