I hear alot about the Maxi-Jet 900 and 1200 and I plan on getting one but do I use it to replace the stock pump in the back compartment or use it with the stock pump as a power head. I also plan on getting a rotating deflector flo. Can the rotating deflector flo mount on the stock piece comming out of the tank?

Use the MJ to replace the stock pump.
The rotating head comes with several adapter pieces, so at least one should fit.
