$140 a good price for RBTA?

hobbzz

How do I change this?
LA has one in their "Divers Den" portion of their site for $140. I saw it in person at the recent frag swap and it is in good shape, but I was wondering if that's a good price or if it's jacked up because of the wysiwyg factor? Most of their prices from the "Divers Den" are higher than the same item from the regular portion of their site...

I wouldn't unless that's the going rate. Because if that's the going rate, then you really don't have a choice. I couldn't find any anywhere else online right now to compare prices though, so I figured I find out what most people paid.

prices very greatly by location I know of a place that sells them for $40 a piece on up to what you have found. I can say that I haven't seen them over $140 even for a 10" one.

Anemones get big all by their selves...no need to buy them that way at a premium.

Saw one today locally for $40. Look in the local reefers forums, maybe.

Or, hell, if you like the one you saw, buy it...it's only money!

I've bought many premium rose bubble tip anemones, mostly on ebay. From $80-120. Do an advanced completed listings search for them on Ebay and u will find out the fair market price for them.

This is the exact reason that I started propogating premium rose anemones.

I bought a RBTA from LA a few months ago thinking it was a nice red variant based on the photo but it ended up being an a-typical RBTA that you can get for $40-$60. The only saving grace was that it split within a couple of days.

Kinda figured that was high. The lfs in town hardly have anything and would never have something like that. I already checked ebay, and there's only a green bta as of last night. I guess I'll just keep looking. Thanks guys. :)

I would pay that much for an aquacultured RBTA... in fact i paid $160 for my 10 inch aqua cultured RBTA over three months ago.

Wow I got my RBTA from a guy in my club for $40 for a 5"... I wouldn't pay more but then again, they are plentiful in my area.
