150g reef tank build

Surprise this morning when I checked my phosphates. Came up .12 on the Hanna meter. They have not been that high that I can remember. Not sure where that came from all of a sudden, seeing as how last week they were at .02. I ran the test twice to confirm. My only thoughts are 1) I have been overfeeding to make sure my new Ventralis Anthias have plenty of opportunity to get food several times a day, or 2) yesterday I took off all my powerheads and lockline to soak in vinegar to get off the coralline, algae and detritus. That stirred up alot of stuff removing them. I added a little Phosbuster liquid, and will do a water change this weekend and see how my PO4 reads Monday.

Death of a Fish (R.I.P.):

I am not quite sure what happened here. My Male Ventralis Anthias had been doing well in my tank since his acclimation about 2 weeks ago. Then Friday, I saw him come out of hiding with his mouth torn open and discolored. The below pictures are a progression from Friday to Sunday. Friday he was alive and swimming around with a torn open mouth. Sunday afternoon he was stuck to the powerhead, but still breathing. I put him in the sump for protection, but he soon after died. Guess you can't live with no mouth...... Very curious....

A few new corals:

Picked up a few new coral today thanks to Richard. I also got a nice piece of Sunset Monti (bright orange and green), but can't get a good pic of it yet due to the camera angle through the glass.
