Anyone using the 165 watt led reef light being sold on ebay for about $150. It has 55 three watt lens. If so, any comment. I'm thinking on getting them for my reef tank to replace my Metal halide bulbs.

I'm also looking at this since the white lights on my cheap 120W led just went out. I suspect the wattage is actually closer to 120. The ones advertised as 120W will usually mention that they have 3w leds but are only driven to about 2w each. The main advantage I see is that these tend to have separate power cords and some added spectrum coverage with the red, green, violet, and warm white lights.

I've been reading up on led's and it seems the best bang for your buck is reefbreeders.com
People say good things about the photon's. I can't say just repeating what I've been reading. They also have a value light if you are hurting for cash$$. Just do a search for led's and you'll get a million posts!
