165Gl to 1000Gl system upgrade (Long project)

Thanks for the recap,it's the wave box idea I'm wondering about I understand how the stand alone Tunze boxes work. I want to better understand how your built in wave boxes work. I hope this makes sense and I am not being a pain in the ... by asking. Thanks Mike

Canyousee no worries at all bro
I put you some drawings from the original design stage mayb e it will become clear then

I love the internal waveboxes! Did you consider putting overflows/waveboxes on both sides of the tank?

I actually did have that in the original plans but that was all gone when the decision was made to make the tank viewable from one short side into the kitchen.

Really like the idea of the back wall panels. To me they look more natural after the Coralline Algae starts covering the back wall. IMHO I see so many good looking tanks that would look great if they didn't have the back glass/acrylic wall covered in Coralline Algae (It really hurts the infinite depth illusion). I know it is a lot more work keeping the back wall clean(another reason I am not a fan of Acrylic tanks,I'm glad you went glass) but it really helps the tank look so much more natural. With your good looking rock wall no such problems, plus less work and a more natural set up. Mike

little of a delay in the rock scaping
Ran out of foam and cant source it anywhere in Thailand
Finally found a shop in Holland who was willing to ship for me to Thailand. Hope it to be on its way by Thursday and be here by Monday

while still waiting for the foam to arrive I started some scaping with coral glue
also placed the walls in the tank

in front of that you see the start of the ravine I am trying to build with platform

and another one outside in progress
